On Monday, November 5, a welcome desk debuted in the lobby of Old Worthington Library. Staffed by library personnel every hour the library is open, the desk provides an immediate point of contact and a friendly face for people entering the building.
In addition to helping people navigate the library (where are the magazines? where do I pick up my reserved items?), general questions about library use (do you have DVDs? what time does storytime begin?) can be answered at the welcome desk.
Questions about fines and overdue materials should be directed to the accounts desk (directly across from the welcome desk).
Reference or reader's advisory questions (can you help me find a book I'd like to read?), should be directed to the appropriate public service desk.
