Saturday, December 6 was recently declared "Worthington Libraries Day" by Worthington Mayor Harvey Minton.

Worthington City Councilwoman Bonnie Michael delivered the mayor's proclamation to the library's board of trustees at their November 18 board meeting. The proclamation recognizes the Library and its staff for a successful year that included the opening of Worthington Park Library, renovation of both Old Worthington Library and Northwest Library and the complete redesign of the library's Web site. These changes are the results of initiatives detailed in the library's 2005-2008 Strategic Plan, which was developed with significant community input.

To thank the community for its ongoing support of the Library—especially during this year's building renovations—we invite you to celebrate Worthington Libraries Day at your favorite Worthington Libraries location. Festivities are planned from 10am - 2pm and include visits from costume characters, family storytimes and tours of the renovated libraries. Please join us!
