Like so many organizations in our community, Worthington Libraries is learning to do more with less. As state revenue for Ohio's libraries goes down, library usage continues to increase.
How can the Library meet the increasing demand for services with a declining budget? The answer is simple: with volunteers.
Worthington Libraries wants to increase the use of volunteers, and your help is needed. Volunteer tasks include:
- data entry and filing,
- library collection maintenance,
- program assistance,
- shelving materials,
- creating displays,
- and many more!
If you think the Library sounds like a good fit for you, the first step in the process is to fill out a volunteer application. You may then be brought in for an interview to match your interests with the library's current needs (not all opportunities are available at all times or at all locations).
If you have been looking for a way to give back to the Worthington community, consider volunteering at the Library. Contact Lindsey Smith, the library's outreach services/volunteer coordinator, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 614-807-2643.
