It's a storytime brimming with bugs, but before you make a dash for your insect repellent, wait!
There won't really be any critters crawling around the May 15 Buggy About Books storytime.
This hour-long program, featuring stories, songs, rhymes and crafts for ages five and under and their caregivers, will be the bees knees. Kids and adults will both recognize "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," but a unique rendition may have everyone swiping their shoulders and hair just to make sure Itsy Bitsy really isn't there!
Entertaining stories about misunderstood insects will have those attending abuzz with excitement. What's a sociable spider to do when a parade of potential tea party guests scuttle, scamper and scurry away? Kids and adults will find out when they hear the Daniel Kirk classic, "Miss Spider's Tea Party."
Kids can also make their own hats, and play games like Pin the Spots on the Ladybug.
Buggy About Books starts at 10:30am at Northwest Library.
