Worthington Libraries has again been rated a Top Ten public library in Hennen's American Public Library Ratings (HAPLR) for 2010.
The 2010 version of HAPLR was recently published and Worthington Libraries is ranked as the number two library in the country in its category of public libraries serving a populace of between 50,000-100,000.
The HAPLR Index uses data provided by 9,000 public libraries in the United States to create comparative rankings and provides a rating system, based on 15 categories, that librarians, trustees and the public can use to evaluate and improve library services.
Worthington Libraries has appeared on the HAPLR Top Ten American Library list six times in the last ten years. We were ranked by HAPLR as the number two library in 2009 and 2008; number 7 in 2006; number 9 in 2004; and number 8 in 2001.
