It's almost time to get with the program, the library's summer reading program, that is!

Starting Saturday, June 5, ages 18 and under can register for this annual event, which regularly attracts thousands of area readers. Here's the skinny:

Children

Share the Love. Read. The theme of this year's club, Share the Love. Read., means the library's the place for far-out fun for children of all ages! Just by reading (or have an adult read to them), terrific prizes are theirs for the taking. Prizes include a coupon sheet full of summertime offers, a bike raffle entry and a tote bag.

Teens

Peace. Love. Read. It's easy for ages 12-18 to earn prizes during the Peace. Love. Read. summer reading program. Reading, of course, is one way, but there's also posting comments on the library's teen blog and attending library programs. After reaching 15 points, participants earn a coupon sheet of summertime offers. Those earning 30 points get a retro clock, and are entered into a drawing for one of three $50 Polaris Fashion Place gift cards.

Presented in conjunction with Columbus Metropolitan Library and Southwest Public Libraries, the summer reading programs, which conclude on July 31, are fully funded by the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries.
