In this community, Market Day means books! Just ask the growing number of people who have called the Library over the last few weeks asking about the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries' annual Market Day book sale.

The Friends' sale is scheduled at Old Worthington Library on Friday and Saturday, September 24 and 25 from 9am-5pm (Market Day is Saturday, September 25). The sale will continue on Sunday, September 26 from 1-5pm.

If you can't wait until then to take a look at all the books the Friends will have available, consider joining the organization. A members-only pre-sale is scheduled Thursday, September 23 from 7-9pm. You can join at that time.

Book sales are huge moneymakers for the Friends, which depends on the proceeds to support Worthington Libraries activities and services not always covered by public funding.

So, while you and your family enjoy the spirit of yesteryear during Market Day later this month, don't forget to stop by Old Worthington Library and buy a bag or two of books. Your generous support will enable the Friends to help keep Worthington Libraries one of the best systems in the state!

Genres include children's, classics, cookbooks, home and garden, hardback and paperback fiction, travel and more! Most books are only $1.
