Today, technology is more than social media and Sony PlayStations. Make it work for your family during an upcoming event where new gadgets for soon-to-be readers will be featured!

A Technology Petting Zoo for Kids & their Caregivers is planned on Saturday, November 19 from 3-5 pm at Old Worthington Library. During this hands-on event, you can investigate iPads, Nook Colors and a LeapFrog ClickStart, and learn more about the library's free learning tools, resources like TumbleBook Library, Scholastic BookFlix and Early World of Learning.

Check out Disney Digital Books, available to the Library through Digital Downloads, where you'll find interactive eBooks for children featuring classic Disney stories and characters like Winnie the Pooh, Bambi and Hannah Montana.

The petting zoo will also showcase free educational apps like Doodle Buddy, NASA, How Stuff Works and Magic Cuts for Apple and Android devices.

Need guidance with the gadgets? Don't worry; library staff will be available to answer questions throughout the petting zoo.
