Library issues royal invitation

Young lords and ladies from across the land are invited to Worthington Park Library's Medieval Festival of Kings & Queens this month!

Scheduled on Thursday, December 15 at 10:30 am, there will be royal crown craft and songs and stories like There Was an Odd Princess Who Swallowed a Pea by Jennifer Ward. This young lady isn't your typical royal, she wears polka-dot undershorts and will eat just about anything, including a crown, rose, wand and much more!

Those attending may also take part in a quest to find Parker, the library's friendly dragon. Don't worry, though, if he's found, he will be lulled to sleep by Boni Ashburn's book, Hush Little Dragon. In it, a mother dragon promises her fussy baby a variety of tasty treats, from a magician to some knights. We're pretty sure Parker is a vegetarian!
