Spring is a great time for new ideas to blossom. Has the warmer weather inspired you to start the business of your dreams? The Library offers resources to help!
Budding entrepreneurs can turn to Business Plans Handbook for help taking the first step of their new business venture.
Business Plans Handbook contains full-text PDF versions of sample business plans from more than 400 businesses, including retail, manufacturing and service industries. Sample plans include every type of business, from established companies looking to expand their services to start-ups entering the market for the first time.
Thinking of starting a restaurant? You might find the sample menus in the restaurant plans helpful. Want to build your own construction business? Plans from this industry show how to include data about local demand for services. Worried about competition? Many plans include analyses of their major (or anticipated) competitors and descriptions of their own competitive advantage.
Once you've reviewed the sample plans pertinent to your business, search for the "Business Plan Template" for a model to assist in the development of your own plan.
With your business plan in place, you'll be on your way to bringing your business ideas to fruition!
