This shouldn't come out of left field, but opening day for the library's Summer Reading League, a partnership with the Columbus Clippers baseball team, is right around the corner!

Columbus Clippers

This year, babies, children and teens will earn points for reading their way around the bases, earning coupons to area restaurants as well as discounts for fun summertime activities.

Players will hit a home run after reading for a designated number of hours. The top prize? A ticket to a Columbus Clippers home baseball game! Summer sluggers are eligible to receive one ticket for themselves and another for an adult parent/guardian (limit two adult tickets per family).

Make sure you're in the league's starting lineup!

Starting June 4, register at any Worthington Libraries location (you may be entitled to a signing bonus!); the league will continue through August 6.

The 2011 Summer Reading League is presented by the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries and the Columbus Clippers. Additional support is provided by City Barbeque, CollegeAdvantage/Ohio Tuition Trust Authority, Columbus Museum of Art, Donatos Pizza, Great Clips, Igloo Letterpress, Peggy R. McConnell Art Center and Worthington Parks & Recreation.
