How can you resist cuddling a fuzzy kitten or playing with a puppy's soft ears? Falling in love with an animal is easy, but caring for it can be challenging if you're not prepared.
Unfortunately, animal shelters and rescue organizations are filled with pets that have been surrendered by their owners because of lifestyle issues: the energetic dog that needs too much exercise, the long-haired cat that needs regular grooming, etc.
If you're thinking about adding a pet to your family, do your research and don't miss Talk About Animals, a Worthington Libraries program planned especially for those trying to choose the best animal for their lifestyle.
On Sunday, May 22, experts from area pet rescue organizations will be on hand to answer your questions about life expectancy, temperament, care and space requirements and more. They'll also bring animals for you to meet!
Get expert advice from the following organizations:
- Capital Area Humane Society
