If you've decided to make a New Year's resolution, the Library can help you keep it with print and online resources that can help you shape up, drop a bad habit, learn something new and much more.
Library programming is also an excellent way to reinforce those resolutions. Check out what we have planned to kick off 2013. You may want to resolve to spend more time at the Library!
If you're planning to get an eReader or tablet during the holidays, let the Library help you fill it for free. You'll learn how to access the library's eBook collection during Tech Petting Zoos, hands-on workshops planned Jan. 5 at Old Worthington Library and Feb. 16 at Northwest Library.
Join the blogosphere! Kristin Marks is the author of the popular blog CbusMom.com, where she offers suggestions and reviews of kid-friendly activities in central Ohio. On Feb. 2, she'll discuss ways to get your own blog off the ground and build a devoted readership. Registration is required for the session, Mark My Words: Build a Better Blog.
Eat more healthfully
Treat your taste buds to delicious vegetarian and vegan-based dishes and desserts during Forks over Knives. Chef Del Sroufe, co-owner of Wellness Forum Foods, will share samples and ideas about healthy eating on Jan. 29. Registration is required.
Registration is also required for Food for Thought: Gluten-free, which is scheduled on Feb. 7. During the informative program, those attending will hear from Dr. Audrey Todd, CEO of Food for Good Thought (FfGT), a gluten-free bakery in Clintonville, and sample baked goods donated by FfGT and Holiday Baking Company.
Make the most of family-time
On Jan. 26, take the family to any Worthington Libraries location for puzzles of all kinds jigsaws, crosswords, word games, mechanicals and more. Puzzle Me This celebrates National Puzzle Day, which is Jan. 29.
Northwest Library will host a Puppet-making Workshop on Feb. 23. All materials will be provided; all you need to bring is your family!
