For many kids, a bicycle is the official vehicle of summer. It's a trusty, often dusty, steed perfect for pedaling to the pool or park, or just tooling around town with pals.
There's still plenty of bike time left in the summer, so bring your pint-sized pedal pusher to the library's August 4 event, Ready to Ride: All about Bikes.
Is your child's bike in tip-top shape? Find out! Representatives from Westerville Bike Shop will be on hand to perform bicycle safety checks and answer basic maintenance questions. Those attending will also get the scoop on safety from Consider Biking, a non-profit organization committed to making central Ohio safe, accessible and friendly to bicycle transportation.
A bike-themed storytime will kick the morning off at 9:30am at Northwest Library. Kids will also have the opportunity to personalize their rides by making bike streamers and custom plates.
