The holidays may have come and gone, but that doesn't mean all the presents have been opened. Area students will receive a special gift from the Library and, yes, there will be ribbon.

The A's have it!Construction was recently completed on brand-new homework help centers (HHC) at Old Worthington Library and Northwest Library, and they are now open for business.

Worthington Park Library, 1389 Worthington Centre Drive, opened in 2008 with the system's only HHC.

Existing space was repurposed at both Old Worthington Library and Northwest Library to make room for the new centers, which will be unveiled during grand opening celebrations at Old Worthington Library on Wednesday, Jan. 16 and at Northwest Library on Jan. 17.

The events, which start at 4pm, will include a ribbon cutting, refreshments and acknowledgement of the project's major donors, including the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries, Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club, Worthington AM Rotary Club, Worthington Industries and Worthington Noon Lions Club.

The new centers have everything the Worthington Park center currently offers, including dedicated computers, books and volunteers.

During the school year, the centers at Worthington Park Library and Old Worthington Library will be open 3:30-6:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Hours at Northwest Library's center will be 4-7 pm, Monday through Thursday.
