Since opening in 2008, Worthington Park Library's Story Park has been home to a number of popular children's book characters. Maisy the mouse, from the Lucy Cousins series, welcomes you to the space, where you'll also find Jonathan London's Froggy, the eight ducklings from Robert McCloskey's book, Make Way for Ducklings, and many others.

Entrance to the Story ParkA larger children's space, thanks to a recent expansion that added 3,400 square feet to the library, means there's room now for even more characters! Which ones will join Ian Falconer's feisty pig Olivia and Mo Willems' temperamental Pigeon? Find out on January 10 during an open house that celebrates the new and improved library!

The event, scheduled from 4-6pm, will include refreshments and tours that highlight the expansion's additional bonuses: an enclosed Homework Help Center and community room.

Kids can also visit with the Wild Thing and Curious George costumed characters.
