This summer, a six-foot tall mouse, a bear that wears overalls and an anxious llama will visit the Shops at Worthington Place, but there's no need to contact Animal Control. The costumed characters are special guests taking part in the library's summer storytimes at the Shops.
Lucy Cousins' Maisy will make an appearance on June 22. The popular mouse is the star of books that find her doing many of the things toddlers do, including making friends, going to the beach, trick or treating and more!
Instead of wandering around a department store after hours, Corduroy will stop by to visit the July 27 character storytime. The lovable teddy bear, created by Don Freeman, was introduced in a 1968 children's book.
On August 17, Llama Llama will be in Worthington (without his Mama). Anna Dewdney's cute camelid has appeared in a number of books since his debut in 2005, including the New York Times bestseller, Llama Llama Mad at Mama.
All character storytimes start at 10:30am in the children's play area of the Shops at Worthington Place, 7227 N. High Street.
