Ever wonder what it's like to be rich? And not just rich rich, but crazy rich? Think "The Bold and the Beautiful" or "Dynasty" set in Singapore.
There is something deliciously over-the-top and self-indulgent about this book.
When Chinese American Rachel Chu agrees to go to Singapore with her boyfriend to attend a wedding, she has no idea what she's in for. Nick's family is rich; not just rich, but crazy rich. Like "buy the entire hotel because the manager was rude to you and now he has to answer to you" rich. Like "whisk the entire bachelorette party off to a private island and spa, and provide each person with a new designer wardrobe" rich. Like "best friends on the front of every tabloid" rich. Rachel knows she doesn't really fit in, but Nick's family is out to make sure she never fits in. Are they crazy rich, or crazy and rich?
I highly recommend the audiobook version of this title as well. The narrator was perfect and I was completely swept away.
