In brief
Bertsche does a great job of explaining the trials and tribulations of "friend dating" in this fast, fun and enjoyable read.
It's a struggle to make friends, well, close friends as you age.
Things I learned: I'm not the only person out there who gets so excited to meet someone that I constantly interrupt them.
There are friend-dating websites, seriously. There are also friend speed dating events, friendship rules, friend meet-up groups and all sorts of other crazy ways to meet people.
What I liked most was the observation that you know if you'll continue to be friends with someone within the first five minutes you meet them. Pretty crazy, but apparently quite true.
I highly suggest this title if you've ever found yourself in a new city with only family and your significant other to rely on. You'll laugh a lot and completely identify with Bertsche as she goes on 52 friend dates in the span of a year.
