I am in love with this cookbook! The recipes are so awesome, I am purchasing my own personal copy.
I am addicted to reading cookbooks. Reading cookbooks, not actually cooking from them. I love looking at the photos of perfectly prepared food and imagine myself creating amazing culinary delights that will have my family cheering me on with lip-smacking praises of "yummy," and maybe even a-- gasp-- "more please!"
I recently stumbled upon this cookbook by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, a popular food blogger and co-author of Veganomicon, whose goal is to make cooking simple, efficient, delicious and as painless as possible. Sign me up!!
Isa Does It is not just a good, it's fantastic. This vegan cookbook contains the most beautiful pictures and the most amazing recipes. No one in my family is vegan or even vegetarian, but I like to pretend that we are, so I try to incorporate kid-friendly vegetarian/vegan recipes in our weekly menu. There are so many appetizing dishes-- Bistro Beet Burgers, Ancho-Lentil Tacos, Dilly Stew with Rosemary Dumplings-- in this book that even meat lovers should find something they like! There are also recipes for soups, salads, stir-fries, breakfast and desserts, plus quite a few kid-friendly options I am anxious to try. Each recipe has tips and helpful make-ahead prepping.
This is a hefty 311-page book bursting with yummy goodness. It's definitely not just for vegans, but for everyone who loves food. Some of these recipes are sure to become a staple in your kitchen.
