Bollywood Ballyhoo: Amar Akbar Anthony

Known for flashy dance numbers and dramatic storylines, Bollywood films are also full of romance and song. This series will screen three films that have defined the Bollywood genre.

"Amar Akbar Anthony" (1977, 174 minutes) is an action-filled Bollywood classic that tells the story of the separation and adult lives of three brothers— one raised by a Hindu policeman, one by a Muslim tailor and one by a Catholic priest.

Presented in partnership with the McConnell Arts Center, the movie will be introduced by Chris Stults, assistant film/video curator at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

Bollywood Ballyhoo is made possible, in part, by the Ohio Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
