Author visit: Will Hillenbrand

This year's Family Reading Festival will feature children's book author and illustrator Will Hillenbrand. During his presentation-- a great event for parents as well as teachers and caregivers-- he'll focus on the process of creating a book, from journal entries to final artwork. A book signing will follow, with proceeds benefiting the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries.

Will grew up surrounded by stories and now has many to share with kids of all ages. Two of his books, Sam Sunday & the Mystery at the Ocean Beach Hotel and The House that Drac Built were IRA Children's Choice Award winners. Wicked Jack and Traveling to Tondo earned honors from School Library Journal and the American Library Association.

A Society of Illustrators award-winner, Will's most recent books are Mother Goose Picture Puzzles and Spring is Here!, both released this year.
