Family Reading Festival featuring Will Hillenbrand

What child doesn't love crafts, listening to stories and meeting costumed storybook characters? All these fun activities and more are planned during the library's 6th annual Family Reading Festival, sponsored by Target.

Parents, caregivers and teachers will get ideas and inspiration about ways to get kids excited about reading, and connect with area organizations serving the needs of children and families.

This year's festival will also feature children's book author and illustrator Will Hillenbrand. During his presentation, scheduled at 3 pm, he'll focus on the process of creating a book, from journal entries to final artwork. A book signing will follow, with proceeds benefiting the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries.

A Society of Illustrators award-winner, Will's most recent books are Mother Goose Picture Puzzles and Spring is Here!, both released this year.
