Veterans Day

November 11 is Veterans Day. The date was first set aside in 1919 to commemorate Armistice Day and the end of World War I, but since 1954 the date has been known as Veterans Day and honors American veterans of all wars.

What better way to recognize the contributions of our veterans than reading their personal narratives of war, from the Faces of World War I to the experiences of the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in Heroes Among Us.
