Hear & Now Author Series: Sam Kean

Sam Kean has science in his blood; literally, actually, he spent years collecting mercury from broken thermometers as a kid.

Now he's a science writer with two national bestsellers to his credit: The Disappearing Spoon, which brings a human element to the elements of the periodic table, and The Violinist's Thumb, a fascinating romp through the history of genetic science.

A presentation by Sam Kean is the next event in the library's Hear & Now series.
