Hear & Now Author Series: Chris Kluwe

Credit: David Bowman, Bowmanstudio.com Chris Kluwe made national headlines in September 2012, not for his performance as punter for the Minnesota Vikings, but for an open letter he wrote lambasting a Maryland state assembly delegate for attempting to stifle the opinion of a fellow NFL player who spoke out in favor of same-sex marriage.

Kluwe's book, Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies, released in 2013, is a collection of personal essays ranging from marriage equality and religion to guns, football and more.

A presentation by Chris Kluwe is the next event in the library's Hear & Now series.
