In 1803, a group of 100 men, women and children set out to begin a new life in Worthington, bringing with them the books for the first library in Franklin County and only the third in Ohio.

Today, Worthington Libraries is one of the state's busiest, and takes its pioneering tradition very seriously, combining traditional library services— top notch materials, knowledgeable staff and outstanding programs— with the innovative— IM reference, after-hours materials pick up and wireless Internet access.
