Learn the keys to successful job interviews in this 5-part video series from professional Career Advisor Jeff Robek.
Robek believes that the interview is the most important part of any job search:
You seal the deal in the interview. The resume can open up the door for you and get you in the actual interview room and a networking contact can introduce you to the right people, but it's really in the interview where you seal the deal and get the job.
In this program cosponsored by The Ohio State University Career Exploration Office, Robek describes the different types of job interviews you might encounter, including one-on-one interviews, group or panel interviews, and phone interviews. Robek also outlines the kinds of interview questions you might expect to hear, including traditional interview questions and behavioral interview questions, and get tips on answering both kinds of questions. Finally, Robek shares his expert tips on how to prepare before the interview, how to handle yourself during the interview, and how to follow up after the interview.
At the conclusion of the program Robek hopes you will be "confident in how to interview and ready to go out there and interview for jobs!"
