Now that you know how to move the mouse, it's time to practice using it to click. To do this, we're going to practice clicking on the buttons below.
First, be sure you are holding the mouse between your thumb and ring finger of your right hand. Your index finger be resting lightly on the left mouse button and your middle finger will be resting on the right mouse button.
We're going to concentrate on using the left mouse button. Keeping your index
finger lightly resting on the left mouse button and move the pointer over the
buttons below. When the pointer changes to a "hand"
click
on each button to change colors. Click on each button again to change colors
back. Finish by clicking on the word "next".

When you click on an item to be taken somewhere you are following what is known
as a "hyperlink" or "link" for short. Usually links are
underlined bits of text. You can tell that they are links because your cursor
will turn into a hand
when
you move over one.
Try clicking on this hyperlink:
Normally hyperlinks are not quite so large, so let's try some practice on links
that aren't quite so big.
To do so, count to 5 by clicking on the numbered links.

Next we're going to practice clicking on other things you might see when you're using the computer. Click on "next" to continue. (That should be easy now.)
