Worthington Libraries has volunteen programs during the summer and during the school year.
Summer Volunteens
From June through August, typical activities include:
- Registering library patrons for the Summer Reading Program
- Assisting with special projects and producing materials for library programs
School Year Volunteens
From September through June, typical activities include:
- Sorting and shelving library materials
- Assisting with special projects and producing materials for library programs
- Miscellaneous office work
Eligibility
Volunteens must be at least 12 years old or entering grades 7-12 in the fall.
Orientation
In order to volunteer during the summer, volunteens must attend an orientation session before scheduling service hours. Orientation sessions are held at the end of May before the Summer Reading Program begins in June.
