Registrations are still being accepted for the next workshop in the library's writing series, Mark My Words.

On March 7, the series continues with a fiction-writing workshop. "Crafting the Novel" will be led by author and former Kenyon Review fiction editor, Nancy Zafris.

During the program, scheduled from 2-4pm at Old Worthington Library, Zafris will discuss specific structural strategies that will be beneficial to all writers, no matter what stage their novel is in. Time will be reserved for questions and discussion.

The workshop is free, but registration is required; please call 614-807-2626.

After nine years at The Kenyon Review, Zafris is now editor of the Flannery O'Connor award for short fiction book series. She is the award-winning author of two novels, Lucky Strike and The Metal Shredders, as well as a collection of short stories, The People I Know.

Mark My Words features quarterly programs aimed at introducing writers to a variety of writing styles and genres, thanks to the talents of some of central Ohio's most renowned authors. Future workshops will focus on topics like humor writing and more.
