Who doesn't want to save money, but coupons, loyalty programs, promo codes, mail-in rebates, etc. can be confusing and time-consuming.
Wouldn't it be great if someone combed through weekly drug store and grocery store circulars, collected dining and entertainment deals and posted the best of the bargains online?
Oh wait, someone does, and her name is Mary Hoover.
Hoover is the owner of Mission: to Save, a blog that helps readers save money by identifying weekly match ups, coupons, Facebook freebies and more at popular stores. Entertainment and restaurant deals including kids eat free offers are also included.
Hoover will discuss tools of the savings trade on Thursday, Dec. 6 at Northwest Library, 2280 Hard Road. Mission to Save: The Art of Saving will start at 7pm.
In the process of teaching others how to save money, Hoover encourages her blog readers to share their saving ways. She suggests donating some great grocery finds to area food pantries especially as the holidays approach or leaving unused, but still redeemable, high-dollar coupons in stores for others.
