You may have a great sense of humor, but trying to incorporate it into your writing is no laughing matter.
But the process needn't be so depressing. Learn ways to add wit to your writing during the next session of Worthington Libraries' Mark My Words writers' series, Humor Writing with Joe Blundo.
Blundo, a Columbus Dispatch columnist, started writing So To Speak in 1997. The column a mix of humor, insight, information and humanity is one of the paper's most popular features for which he earned an award for humor writing from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists in 2002.
His book, Dancing Dads, Defective Peeps & Buckeye Misadventures, is a collection of 56 of his favorite Dispatch columns.
Humor Writing with Joe Blundo is scheduled at Old Worthington Library from 2-4pm on March 9. The workshop is free, but registration is required; you may do so online or by calling 614-807-2626.
Mark My Words features quarterly programs aimed at introducing writers to a variety of writing styles and genres, thanks to the talents of some of central Ohio's most renowned authors.
