Red and Green and Blue and White

December 8, 2021 Julie M says:
This heartwarming, holiday-season book is based on a true story and shows a community choosing to love and support each other, despite differences.
Although her house, like most on Isaac's street, is decorated in red and green for Christmas, Teresa comes up with a way to show support for her friend Isaac, whose house is blue and white for Hanukkah, when one of his home's windows is smashed in the night.

Headshot of Julie McIntosh

Julie M

I work in youth services, and have loved children's literature ever since my own childhood introduced me to Charlotte's Web and every single Nancy Drew book published at the time. I especially enjoy picture books, historical fiction, mysteries and narrative nonfiction. When I'm not reading, I enjoy cooking and baking and outdoorsy things like birdwatching, hiking and kayaking.
