I hurt my hand a little writing down all my favorite quotes from this book.
I am a sucker for how-we-met stories. It seems so coincidental that two people, thrown together, could find a deeper connection among tons of people, yet it happens all the time. This is definitely the case with Dash and Lily.
Dash happens to find a red moleskin notebook on the shelves of New York City's infamous bookstore, The Strand. In the weeks that follow, he is drawn into an anonymous back-and-forth full of banter, dares and secrets. But are Dash and Lily falling in love with a person or a notebook persona?
I loved that I could really FEEL the spirit of the holiday season in this. How everyone is a little bit happier and springier yet, really, nothing is very different. Lovers of word and cute how-we-met stories like You've Got Mail and The Lake House will love curling up with Dash and Lily, especially with the holidays right around the corner!
Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to crank the holiday tunes.
I worked for Worthington Libraries from 2008-2016 and like to read the best books (meaning young adult fiction) in the library. I keep a hot dog-related bucket list of places in the USA I want to visit and dine at during my life. Other passions and faves include roller derby, slow cookers, car/scooter repair and pop culture. Oh, and I would like to meet your dog.
