Stop what you're doing and read this book right now. You can thank me later.
This book is so wonderful it kept me up half the night. This is the story of Frankie, aka Bunny Rabbit. At 14, she's a slightly geeky girl on the Debate Team. At 15, she's on her way to becoming a criminal mastermind. I love books about secret societies (who knows why?) and this one is a great one. Frankie takes on the Loyal Order of the Bassets in a way a girl never has before - by thinking of how she could do it better.
Every girl will love, understand and want to be Frankie. She is smart, cunning, witty and funny. Her shift from geek to chic makes her confront some feminist issues too - being treated differently because she's a girl and being judged by the way she looks instead of who she is. A sure winner for any girl.
I worked for Worthington Libraries from 2008-2016 and like to read the best books (meaning young adult fiction) in the library. I keep a hot dog-related bucket list of places in the USA I want to visit and dine at during my life. Other passions and faves include roller derby, slow cookers, car/scooter repair and pop culture. Oh, and I would like to meet your dog.
