Worthington Libraries partners with Children's Hunger Alliance to provide free snacks for kids and teens at all three library locations.
Food provided is shelf stable, with no refrigeration necessary. A typical snack includes a fruit, vegetable, protein, grain and milk.
Snacks are available to all children, age 18 and under. Children may pick up snacks for themselves, or parents or caregivers may pick up snacks for each child in their care. Children must be present to pick up a snack. You may get one snack per child per visit.
Snacks can be picked up during the school year:
No advance registration is needed.
All three Worthington Libraries locations:
- Old Worthington Library – Lobby
- Northwest Library – Homework Help Center
- Worthington Park Library – Teen room
You will need to share the first and last name of each child for a library staff member to record on a sign-in sheet.
Children may eat snacks in the meeting rooms at Old Worthington Library and Worthington Park Library. Snacks are packaged to be grab and go, so you may also enjoy the snacks outside the Library.
This service is offered in compliance with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies.
