The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother)

In a tiny Beirut apartment, Raja and his mother live side by side. A beloved high school teacher, Raja relishes books, order and solitude. His octogenarian mother, though, views his desire for privacy as a personal affront. An invite to a writing residency in America at first seems fortuitous, but soon Raja is recounting and reliving things he wants to forget.
