Learn about how we make our web content accessible

Revised

April 22, 2026

Worthington Libraries affirms our mission—to connect people to a world of ideas and each other—applies to everyone, including people with disabilities.

In support of our mission, we are working to integrate accessibility into the design and development of our own websites as well as our selection of purchased tools and resources.

We continually evaluate the accessibility of our websites based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) using content audits assisted by automated accessibility testing tools as well as manual testing via keyboards and screen readers. Our websites are largely conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We will incorporate additional improvements to accessibility in an upcoming redesign of our library website.

We also take steps to verify the accessibility levels of the tools and resources we purchase, however some may not fully conform to the same accessibility standards. We will report accessibility issues as we learn of them and work with our vendors to encourage accessible practices.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we welcome feedback to improve the experience of using the library's websites and purchased tools and resources. If you encounter any barriers while using our websites or other tools and resources, please request accessibility support. You may also email us at accessibility@worthingtonlibraries.org.

Thank you for helping us ensure the library is accessible to all!
