Do your homework and be ready for no-contact checkout when you visit the Library!

Follow the instructions below to install the Worthington Libraries mobile app and add your library card, and when you visit the library you'll be able to check out materials from your device genius!

You can also use the app to store your library card to use with the self-check stations and to manage your account, search for and reserve items, contact staff and much more.

Install the app

Download the app from your device:

Or, use your device to scan a QR code:

  • iPhones, iPods or iPads
    Use your device to scan for the App Store
     
  • Android devices
    Scan for Google Play

Or, search the App Store or Google Play for "Worthington Libraries."

Add your library card

The first time you open the app, you may be prompted to add your library account information. Enter your library card number and PIN and click the "Log In" or "Validate" button. Or:

  1. From the home screen, tap on the "Account" icon.
  2. Tap on the "Manage Accounts" icon.
  3. Tap on the "Add Account" button.
  4. Enter your library card number and PIN and click the "Log In" button.

Want to add another library card from your household? Click the "Add Account" button and follow the same steps.

Note: To use the app to check out items, you will need to allow access to the camera. When the app asks for permission to access the camera or to take pictures, tap "OK" or "ALLOW."

Use your digital library card with the self-check stations

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Digital Library Card" icon.
  2. If you have more than one account set up on your device, choose the account you want to use.
  3. Hold your device up to the scanner to scan the onscreen barcode.

Use your device to check out

  1. From the home screen, tap on the "Account" icon.
  2. Tap on the "Mobile Checkout" icon.
  3. Aim the viewfinder over the library barcode (not the ISBN!) until the scanner reads the barcode. 
  4. The item will appear below the viewfinder once successfully checked out.
