Worthington Libraries recently received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for our 2024 Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). In order to receive the prestigious national award, a government unit must publish a PAFR whose contents conform to program standards of reader appeal, understandability, quality and creativity.

The GFOA established the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Awards Program in 1991 to encourage and assist state and local governments to use information from their annual comprehensive financial report in a report specifically designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public and others without a background in public finance.
