Headshot of Lauren Robinson in front of library bookshelves

I have a confession to make; I am not really a fan of summer. I much prefer a good book in front of a cozy fire to an afternoon at the beach reapplying sunscreen every 30 minutes. Autumn, with its apples and leaves and pumpkin-spiced everything, is my jam, and I am so excited about celebrating fall with you at Worthington Libraries.

With the kids back in school, this is the perfect time to get reacquainted with the Library. We have so much to offer students, including spaces for quiet study or group projects, free printing and plenty of research resources.

Busy parents, too, will find that the Library can help them manage all they have to get done. Can’t make it to the Library during open hours? You can have your reserved items placed in one of our 24/7 lockers. Need a new book to listen to on that morning commute or upcoming work trip? Download the Libby app and you’ll be immersed in a new favorite in a matter of minutes. Need a book to read for fun in front of that aforementioned cozy fire? We have that covered, too!

Our fall programs offer fun for the whole family, including Let’s Go Camping (September 16) at Northwest Library, Potions 101 (September 27) at Old Worthington Library and a Diwali celebration (November 15) at Worthington Park Library.

The Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries is bringing back the popular Books and Brews fundraiser on Friday, November 10 (7-10 pm at Old Worthington Library). This event features beer tastings from local craft breweries, fabulous food, a silent auction and live music. Tickets go on sale October 1, and I can’t wait. The Friends Foundation funds all library programming, including the summer reading club, and attending Books & Brews is a great and tasty way to support the Library.

There is so much more to talk about! Please look through our program offerings, mark your calendars and get ready to have fun during the BEST SEASON EVER. Grab a PSL and meet me at the Library.
